The work “What about the body?” takes the body as a tool, as a means of being in the world, a means of knowing and learning about oneself, others and the environment. In an age of increasing digitization, the number of activities that can be performed from one place, in one position, usually behind a computer, is increasing. Mostly for less resistance or efficiency reasons, we choose this option. How much do we question the body as the tool of perception, that allows acquiring immediate knowledge, outside of the pervasive, dominant questions: What does your body look like? Are you healthy? The collaborative work of five female authors includes a three-channel space-defining video installation that depicts each of the authors in a different activity. In each of the videos, the role of the body in a particular activity comes to the front. Artists decided individually how much they want to intervene in their usual activity in the condition of camera presence. The second part of the exhibition is a 25-question questionnaire intended to engage in dialogue with the audience and to expand the issues through which the body is thought through. Artists conceived and answer questions, and afterward mixed their answers. In the performance, the audience read the questions and answers aloud with the authors, thus embodying the thoughts about the body, and adding their answers and new questions also. Each of the reading positions was shaped differently in the exhibition space.
